With Halloween almost a week behind us, I don't feel too weird when visions of sugarplums start dancing through my head. When I was a kid, it seemed we always waited until after Thanksgiving before we started to think about Christmas, but when I was a kid, I didn't know all the planning that went into it. Especially since I started sending Christmas cards. I mean, if you want them to get there before Christmas, you really need to send them out the first week or so of December. And if you're going to special order anything, you definitely need to start planning NOW.
My sister recommended I check out
Shutterfly this year. I've done my own design the last few years, but since I don't have all the graphics editing tools I'd like to make the cards look as good as I'd like them to, I figured what do I have to lose. And now, I can't make up my mind.
They have a ton of
holiday photo cards to choose from. (Just a little advise when you're browsing through all the options - use the filter on the left sidebar. Otherwise you'll never get through them all!) The weirdest part in looking at all of them is I know ones that would be perfect for other people. But who are we? Do we go
black and white? If so, this one is perfect, with the stars and swirly font.
Red and green? On this one, the little ornaments are the perfect touch. Or we could do something
fun and colorful? This one is completely off the map on anything I'd ever do, but I still love how festive it is.
I guess it would help if I actually had pictures of Joey already. Then I could see what fits in with the theme in the picture. You know what I'll be doing during my vacation Thanksgiving week. And for the record, even if I picked out the one, did you think I would give it away already? You'll just have to keep checking your mailbox!
