Enjoying the Sunshine

It was beautiful this weekend, so the kids and I got out of the house and headed to the park I opted for the jogging stroller, as my back is starting to hurt from carrying Jacob around and then running after Joey.

Jacob absolutely loved the stroller. Not so much that he fell asleep, but no crying! And for added fun, check out this old blog post for a little comparison of my two boys. Jacob is definitely starting to develop his own look. (Joey's head was definitely a bit more square.)

Jacob loves the swings, too.

And here we all are, enjoying the sunshine!!

The Bicycle Trailer

another bicycle ride.
We bought a bicycle trailer at a garage sale last year. We needed to get a piece for the trailer to connect to Joe's bike, but we were ready to go this spring. This was Jacob's second time, and he loves it!

Going for a Walk

We're going for a walk.
We were outside to enjoy the lovely weather yesterday evening. It would've been a bike ride, but a certain four-year-old dawdled during dinner. Apparently Jacob was still hungry, and kept eating his sweatshirt.

Swimming Party

We snuck back to Easton the first weekend in April for Shae's 6th birthday party. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I expected, but I did get a few cute ones.

It was a swimming party, and after a little fighting in the beginning, Joey did actually go in. He didn't want to wear the life vest, but once he realized the freedom it gave him, he didn't really want to take it off.

Here's Shae blowing out the candles. I tried to snap one while they were still lit, and of course I was a second too late.

The kids had a great time running around the room we had. They played tag and hide and seek, among other things. I managed to get them all together for a quick photo (sans babies). Happy Birthday, Shaezie!

Sunday Best

After the Easter Bunny Breakfast (so the weekend before Easter), I snapped a few pictures of the kids in their "Sunday best."

Jacob is just too cute in his little tie!

And of course I couldn't get both of them with good smiles, but this one it still adorable!

It's hard to believe Jacob's first Easter came and went already. Where has the time gone? Although mom and dad were a little under-prepared, we still had a great day!

Jacob happily wore his bunny ears for a few minutes, even if he doesn't look so happy here. He got some books and a new blanket. I think he liked tipping over the Elmo-basket more than anything.

Joey had an arts and crafts Easter. He got some paints, paint brushes and a smock, as well as some Play-doh and cutting tools. Oh, and of course some candy.

We had Easter dinner at Buszi and Grandpa's, and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. The moms were smart this time and had the kdis pose almost as soon as we arrived. We knew if they got too excited, there would be no sitting still.

The two littlest ones sat and played together nicely after the big kids were up running around. We got them to wear the bunny ears for a few minutes, but Jacob really wasn't having it. Check out Danielle's blog to see more Easter cuteness!

Fun at the Park

It was beautiful on Saturday, so the kids and I took a trip to the park. Jacob was so excited to be in the carrier, enjoying the wind in his face and being all giggly.
Fun at the park
The boys also enjoyed playing on the swings, and Joey couldn't wait to help push his little brother higher and higher.
Fun at the park
I'm just going to keep enjoying how much they enjoy each other. I know it might end, but for now, it's adorable.

Day at Buszi's

Daycare was closed on Friday, so Jacob and Joey headed to Buszi and Grandpa's! Joey was definitely the little helper, washing the cars with Grandpa and decorating eggs with Buszi.
Day at Buszi's
According to Buszi, he did all the coloring all by himself. And we have some video evidence, which I'll work on getting posted this month.
Day at Buszi's
Jacob had a great time watching the train and keeping Buszi company. They're so lucky to get to spend quality time with their grandparents. And we're so lucky they were able to watch the kids!
