Too Cool for School
Joey and I were home with a fever, cough and congestion today (him - I just have the congestion), but at least we got to enjoy some of the beautiful weather. And I have him convinced he needs to put the hat on to go outside. Genius.

Is It Bedtime Already?
When Joey is tired, he's tired. He doesn't cry or complain, but he'll find whatever afghan is nearest and lay his head down on it. One night this weekend, I noticed him leaning over onto the couch, right where the afghan was. So I threw the afghan on the floor, and guess who lay right down on it. I covered him up, and I think he would've gone to sleep right there if we let him. Needless to say, we know what we're bringing with us when we go camping to keep Joey in the tent.

First Egg Hunt
Today was the Egg Hunt at daycare. I think Joey had fun. Actually, I know he had fun playing in the water table. Everything got wet. It took some time for Joey to get the idea of picking up the eggs, but then he did a pretty good job.

Newsflash Update
Unfortunately, the weather men were not lying when they said it was going to snow. It is less than 24 hours after I took that shot of my crocuses, and at least two inches of snow have fallen. (Since it's been so warm, it's not all sticking, but the grass is covered with at least an inch.) So off to the mall we went.
Fun with the big wheel.

Spring has Sprung!
Like much of the rest of the country, we've experienced a wonderful early spring here in Chicago. And since they're calling for snow already this weekend, we thought we'd take advantage while we could. I'm sorry I haven't posted any pictures before now, but we'd head out for our walk and the park, and then we'd both realize we didn't have the camera or even our phones. I made it my mission Friday to take the camera, and I think I managed to capture just how much Joey loves the slide.
While we were at the park, you could feel the weather changing. It must have dropped at least 10 degrees in the 15 minutes we were there. Needless to say, I thought Joey would enjoy some hot chocolate when we got back. (His first!) He did like it, but he wanted his nice cold milk even more. Fortunately it looks like the little guy has not adopted all of Mommy and Daddy's bad habits.

My Own Wonder Pet
Not too long ago, Joey loved to walk around with the cloth diaper on his head. (Don't worry, it was always clean!) The past few days, he kept putting the diaper on his head, but then he'd keep pulling it around, down his back, and then get frustrated and just about cry. I couldn't figure out what he was trying to do. Then on Sunday, when he was being especially fussy while playing with the diaper, I asked him if he wanted to watch the Wonder Pets. He nodded yes with his whole body. Then it hit me!

Toothbrush and Dancing
We were having a little fun in the bathroom last night, which isn't nearly as bad as it sounds.
And even more fun when Mommy would turn it back on. If you're curious, feel free to check out the video.

Can We Take the Dog for a Walk?
This kid is too smart for his own good. I mean, it was raining, and a little chilly, but what did he insist on doing?
Yep, the dog has him trained now. He wanted to go for a walk. He grabs her leash and then walks to the door and just gives me those eyes.

Garage Door
When we got home today, Joey couldn't wait to get into the garage. I couldn't figure it out. He walked right over to the door and kept trying to turn the handle and open it. We went back into the house, and I showed him how the opener works. I then put him down in the middle of the garage, and he let me know exactly what he wanted ... the stroller! Little bugger knows we keep it in the garage, and wanted to go for a walk. Hopefully the weather holds out tomorrow and we can take him for a nice long ride in what has become his favorite toy.

Spaghetti!
Joey was using his spoon so well tonight to eat his spaghetti. Until Mommy got the camera out. Then it was back to his usual tricks.

Tea Time
When Nana and Pop-Pop came to visit, they got to spend all day Monday with Joey. That afternoon, when I got home from work, Joey had improvised a tea party. Or maybe it was coffee talk. No matter what, Joey was happily pouring drinks for everyone.
