Christmas Eve
We spent Christmas Eve with the in-laws and enjoyed a delicious roast beast. We also managed to take a few group photos.

2012 Christmas Show
The Kiddie Junction 2012 Christmas Show took place the first weekend of December. The kids were adorable. The theme was WKJ - a radio call-in show. The first song each class did was a "regular" song, and the second was a Christmas song.
Joey and a few of his classmates got it started as elves.
They jammed to Hound Dog. You have to love Little Elvis!
Then they Danced Around the Christmas Tree.
I promise, Joey was much happier than he looks here!

Swings!
It was beautiful this past weekend, so I took Jacob to the park (while the Joes were raking leaves). His first time on the swings and he absolutely loved it!

Four Month Check-In
Given the issues we've had, I thought I'd start this check-in with some monkey pictures of Jacob at three months.
Here's a great smile shot, and I think it gives you a good idea of how much he's growing. Already well outsizing the monkey.
Then he decided to eat the monkey. Hey, he was only three months at the time. What do you expect?
Here he is at four months. Not sure how much difference you can see, but I definitely think he looks more mature. He weighed in at 15 lbs 10 oz, 25 inches long. My growing boy!Sunday, October 21, 2012
Bear Down
I figured out a backdoor to posting while our Mac is out of commission ... Firefox. Not sure why I didn't think of it before, but fortunately, the version of Firefox I have is compatible with Blogger. So without further ado, I present to you my boys (dressed up in their Bears jerseys).
I don't have the greatest editing software, but this will suffice in a pinch. Bear down!

Circle Time (at Home)
Joey loves having his little brother to play with. Sometimes it's hard to tell which are the toys and who is the baby. Our own little E.T. moment. The singing, though, is just too much. Adorable, if I do say so myself.

I'm Ba-a-ack!
Some of the technical difficulties have been addressed. So at least for now, I can upload images and post again. Without further ado ...
Aunt Danielle should be posting a better pic of all the boys on her blog. She's got her hands full with Wolfie and Otto, though, so just keep checking.

Technical Difficulties
I apologize for the lack of content these last few weeks. We fried our external hard drive, and we filled up our Mac's internal hard drive. This makes uploading images to our home computer impossible. And I apparently don't have the latest version of IE at work, so Blogger won't let me upload images from there either. Hopefully this will be rectified shortly.
In the meantime, you can find me on Twitter or Instagram to see pics of the kiddos.

Thomas the Tank Engine
Last weekend, we headed to the Illinois Railway Museum for their Day Out with Thomas event. We met up with some friends and had a great time.
Joey got to meet Sir Topham Hatt.
And there was a real Thomas engine! (OK, so the real engine was in the back of the train, but it looked real enough.)
We had lots of fun with our friends.
Even mommy and Jacob explored some of the old railcars.
More evidence that Jacob was there. (I put him in the carrier after his feeding, and he slept for three hours. Not even the train whistles could wake him up.)
This picture is from our actual ride on the passengers cars pulled by Thomas. We were sitting near the back, so in this shot, the Thomas engine is turning the corner, and Joey sees for the first time that Thomas is "pulling" the train. He saw Thomas in the front of the train before we got on, but here he's actually seeing him in action.
He was so excited!

Tractor Fun
We finally have gotten rain on a somewhat consistent basis, so it was time to cut the grass again this weekend. As usual, Joey couldn't wait to help.
Getting ready to help, wearing his headphones, just like Daddy.
How fast can we go?
Helping Daddy clean the tractor.
Obligatory "please look at the camera and you'll get a treat" shot.

Playing with the Wolf
Danielle, John and Wolfie came to visit us this weekend. Shenanigans abounded. (Check out Dani's blog for more pics.) Jacob slept most of the time, so there are really only pics of these two. Soon enough we'll get to try to take pics with all four boys - hopefully the babies learn to cooperate!

My Little Monkey
Thanks, Aunt Rachel/Shae for the Timberlands. Apparently they make the most excellent climbing shoes.

Floor Time
Joey joined Jacob on the floor gym this past Saturday morning, and I think they both had a great time.
It's gotten to the point now that if I'm taking pictures of Jacob, Joey will say, "Mommy, take a picture of ME and my Awesome." (Yes, he calls Jacob "Awesome." It's kind of cute.) Fortunately, that's about the extent of the jealousy so far. And since I always oblige and take pictures of the two of them, Joey doesn't seem to mind.

Time Flies
Believe it or not, Jacob is two months old already. We went in for our check-ups, and he's doing well. He's up to twelve pounds seven ounces and 23 3/4 inches.
I thought I'd steal a little something my sister did with her daughter, and I'm using Joey's sock monkey for scale. (And yes, I mean Joey's - Jacob doesn't have one of his own yet.) I'll post a picture at least through six months with the monkey, so you can see how big he's grown.
In the meantime, guess who had to crawl up in the chair with his "Awesome" while Mommy was taking pictures.

Great-Grands
We visited with Joey and Jacob's great-grandparents this past Sunday. Grandma just lit up when she saw Jacob, and we barely got him out of the carseat before she grabbed him from us so she could hold them.
Getting to know each other a little better.
Getting to know each other a little better.
Of course there were also some hijinks. Grandpa loves his hats, and Joey happily obliged by putting on at least two at a time.
