Home on the Range

Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day, and we took full advantage of it. Outside the whole day. You've already seen the pool pictures. But did you know we have a nature preserve in our backyard?

Here's your tour guide. Happy to point out the peonies and hydrangeas and the baby bunnies.
We also had a mini-photo shoot on the front steps.
All I had to tell him was how much his Nana and Pop-Pop and Buszi and Grandpa love him. I couldn't keep the smile off his face.

Under the Sea

We "opened" the pool this weekend. It only took what seemed like hours for Daddy to inflate it. Joey wanted absolutely nothing to do with it until he got in. Then I couldn't get him out.

Headphones are Cool

I know I posted pictures previously of Joey wearing his Daddy's headphones, but he absolutely loves them! These are a different pair, that look a bit more studio, and they are much softer to the touch. Needless to say, Joey comes home and grabs them and puts them on (or tries to).

He was trying to multitask for a bit. Right before this shot, he was also reaching for the milk. Fortunately drinking and reading is completely legal.

Flower Power

Not the best quality image, but should give you an idea of how the hydrangeas have taken over the front garden. I plan on cutting them back, and maybe even digging a little out. I have to do something. You'll notice on the right a small bit of bluish-purple. Those are my Endless Summer hydrangeas. They came back nicely from last year, and hopefully will continue to prosper. The boy in the foreground needs no introduction.

Three of a Kind

Joey's friends came over on Sunday for a little romp around the backyard. It was so nice to see someone get some use out of all that grass. (Usually Joey's running around the front.)
I have no idea how I got this picture. All of the kids looking at the camera. Pure luck. But pure cuteness, too!

Swingin' Smile

We've progressed to sitting on the porch when Daddy's using the tractor. (Although he loved it last year, Joey is terrified this year.) I even managed a smile out of the little bugger.

Watching the Tube, er, Computer

Our TV went out the other day. (The going theory is something wasn't soldered correctly and the board overheated.) So yesterday, Joey watched the Wonder Pets on the computer.

He loved it! It pretty much ran in a continuous loop of episodes and snippets, but I think he only made it through an episode and a half. (We just kept listening to it throughout dinner.)

The Shot

Every once in a while, I'm completely blown away by the quality of picture my camera can take. Unfortunately, I have no clue what I did differently for this one than every other one. I guess all I can do is enjoy.
