Easter Bunny Breakfast

Last weekend was our Easter Bunny breakfast at daycare. We had gone to Kohl's earlier in the week to get a suit for Joey for Easter and the wedding we'll be going to later this summer, and he insisted on wearing it to breakfast. I had to find something for Jacob, too. Unfortunately, the 12-month-sized suit we had for Joey from my sister's wedding was too small. The tie worked, but I had to find a different shirt.

 

I got one really good picture of them with the Easter bunny. Joey didn't want to sit on his lap, but he more than happily stood next to him and made sure Jacob didn't cry.

They also had face painting at the breakfast festivities. Joey would have normally gone for Spiderman, but he "mixed it up" and got Batman this time.

After breakfast, Jacob fell asleep, so Joey and I took a bike ride out to the park. He kept that face paint on until bed time.

Big Boy Bath Tub

Last night was a big night for Jacob. It was his first time in the big tub. Did he ever have a blast!

It was also the first time the two boys took a bath together. I have a feeling it won't be the last.

Joey absolutely loved having his brother in the bathtub with him. He showed him all his boats, and even let him play with a few of them.

Morning Fun Time

If Jacob and Joey wake up at the same time, Joey can't wait to get Jacob into the bed with him. He'll read to him, show him his stuffed animals, and loves to give him hugs. This is the best I could get; at least they're both smiling.



9 Month Un-birthday

I know I'm a couple days late, but happy 9-months to my Jacob! He's getting so big so fast, and just becoming more a toddler every day. He can clap now, and feed himself Cheerios. He's even had some real carrots and potatoes! He still isn't a huge fan of just standing up, but boy does he love to jump!

Here he is with Joey's sock monkey. He now towers over him. At his check-up this week, he's 20 lbs 14 oz, and over 29 inches tall. Not sure where he gets the height from, but hopefully he keeps it.

And of course, Joey needed to get in on the picture action. If I want to take a picture of them, forget it. But if I only want a picture of Jacob, he's right in there, saying me, too! Love my boys.

The Great Outdoors

We went outside to play in the snow this weekend. Mommy did her best to build a snowman.

I only had to rebuild it twice before I got this shot.

You can see Joey's already itching to knock it over.

He had fun pushing his dump truck on top of the snow. Yes, on top. There was a nice layer of snow-ice that was just strong enough to support Joey and Ginny. If I were to walk on it, I'd fall right through.

Jacob didn't like lying on the snow so much. (Sitting he was fine.) But I love the coloring in this picture. Hope you're enjoying the great outdoors as much as we are!
