Where the Sidewalk Ends

Yes, I'm still posting pictures from the weekend. I figure, if it's good enough for rockle, it's good enough for me. Anyway, I realized I have a "portrait and landscape" setting on my camera, and I tried using it. (Plus it was sunny, so my flash couldn't ruin everything.)

Joey loves playing with the golf clubs. I'm not sure exactly what he thinks they are, and we will teach him how to use them correctly. In the meantime, he has a blast and absolutely throws a fit when we take them away. But we're learning to block the crying out.

Tiger Bubbles

So I realize this is a recurring theme, but Joey absolutely loves his bubbles. Unfortunately, the blue bubbles don't work nearly as well as the red ones, but Joey loves them!

In the first picture, he's actually saying the word bubbles. In the second, well, let's just say that when he doesn't have his pacifier, he starts to put things in his mouth. It didn't actually get to his mouth, but he tried.

Playing in the Backyard

We had a lot of fun playing in the backyard this weekend. Exploring the plants, the grass, and our neighbor's yards. He's an inquisitive one.

I can't wait to see all the exploring he does once he gets in the pool!

Couch Potato

Joey has definitely learned from the best. Unfortunately, the Cheerios ended everywhere, but he had fun. That's the important part, right?

Baby Bumble Bee

This is my baby bumble bee. Greeting me as I came to pick him up from daycare. Apparently he went into the box (or wherever they keep the costumes) and picked this one out. Not sure what was cuter - the costume or the squeals of happiness.

A Round of 18

It seems like no matter what the holiday, Joey gets presents. This one was all my fault, but still. When we visited with our friends the Schulers a couple weekends ago, Annabel had this adorable little plastic golf bag that Joey just loved pushing around. When I saw a set at Wal-Mart, I had to get it, and so did Joey. He literally whined the whole way home until I took them out of their bag. Then he walked around the back yard, pushing the golf bag and wildly swinging the clubs. (We have decided they are outside toys only.)

Trains and Tractors

When we left for our walk today, I was determined to get some pictures. I know I'm not as regular a poster as you all would like, but essentially we get home, eat, go for a walk, take a bath, and go to bed. We're so busy doing things, I don't often think to take pictures. Boy did I luck out today. Two trains! I took the pictures of Joey while we were stuck on the "wrong" side of the tracks. Joey loved watching the train go by. We didn't even get halfway down the block after that train passed and another came going the other way. Carrying tractors!

In Praise of Old Nassau

Joey was eating some goldfish, but apparently I hadn't given him enough, and he needed the whole bag. He sure was happy when he was finished!

And enjoy the wispy hair while you can. We keep talking about getting him a haircut. Haven't scheduled an appointment or anything, but it might be time to get a little trim.
