Wolfie's Baptism

I really wish I had better pictures to post of Wolfie's baptism on Sunday, but the lighting in my church didn't work well with my camera (so everybody has red-eyes, and they're the hard-to-fix kind), and I didn't really use my camera much at the brunch. So you'll have to settle for these.
Buszi with her two favorite grandsons.
Joey eating birthday cupcakes. (Sunday also happened to be Aunt Danielle's birthday.)
See how delicious these cupcakes are? (Seriously, he ate two. The were DELICIOUS!)

It's Getting Dark ...

Not that you can tell, since I used a black and white filter, but if you look closely, you might be able to see that the flash went off, which means IT'S GETTING DARK BEFORE 7:00!! We still headed over to the park for some fun. They have lights there.

One last look-back at our awesome time Saturday at the Blackhawks Training Camp Festival.

Des Plaines Fall Fest

We headed over to the Des Plaines Fall Fest Saturday afternoon, to see what it was all about. We got some pretty good food, and of course some fried dough. Joey even tried one of the rides.
As you can see, he looked happy to be getting on the cars, but not too many smiles once it was going. It did seem to go a bit fast, but he never really got into it. He even said he wanted to go back on, but then I couldn't get him to stay in the seat for longer than two seconds. We'll just have to try again next year. Maybe if he's with one of his cousins, he'll like it better (hint, hint).

Hockey Season is Back!

We got tickets this year to head to the Chicago Blackhawks Training Camp Festival, which is essentially the first day of practice for the season. Wasn't sure what to expect, but since tickets were only $6, and they were available, we figured we'd take advantage of what could be the only chance we get to see the Hawks live this year.
They had a practice, two scrimmages, and then another practice. Joe and I had a lot of fun, but unfortunately Joey's just not into yet. He did love the "tractors," also known as zambonis.
And I managed to get him to smile once. Of course my camera didn't focus correctly, but I'll take it.

In the Ocean

This is the furtherest we could get him in. And I'm pretty sure this was completely by accident when a wave came in.
